11 Feb 11

Today the students (few) turned in their homework of Vocabulary today. It was a very frustrating experience to have so few assignments turned in on time. This will cause me to make the former week-long assignments now have a 2 day window. So, now when vocab is assigned on Monday it is due on Wednesday. Clearly, having 5 days is too long and so we will see how they do with a shorter timeframe. The students that did not turn in their 100% completed homework had to perform community service around campus. And those students continuing to not perform in class will continue to have disciplinary actions taken against them as far as referrals, phone calls home, conferences and possible removal from the class all together.
Journal entry: If you were a teacher and you had students that behave and perform like you or some of the members of your class, what would you do?

Being careful to reiterate to the students that this number is solely derived from your height and your weight. To not get too caught up in the numbers and the classifications of those numbers. Know your body type!
We had a trivia today as well which asked: how many minutes of physical activity are recommended to IMPROVE your fitness level? 30, 60 or 90?

BMI Calculation: wt/2.2 = ____ Kg
Ht/in = ____in
in/m in/39.4 = ____m
Formula: kg/m2
