3 Feb 11

Today we started reading Chapter 4 (fitness) reading the first two lessons of the text. We then figured out how to calculate our body mass indexes (BMI). Being careful to reiterate to the students that this number is solely derived from your height and your weight. To not get too caught up in the numbers and the classifications of those numbers. Know your body type!
We had a trivia today as well which asked: how many minutes of physical activity are recommended to IMPROVE your fitness level? 30, 60 or 90?

BMI Calculation: wt/2.2 = ____ Kg
Ht/in = ____in
in/m in/39.4 = ____m
Formula: kg/m2

Health articles are due tomorrow. 70% participation PLEASE!!!!
