Today we finished up with the alcohol notes and I collected the journals from the kids that were absent yesterday. 3rd period is funding a Slovenska...so is 4th. Hahahahaha!!! Hey Oleg!!!

Today we finished watching the smashed video and watched a short dvd on tobacco. Vocab is due tommorow. I'm going to collect the alcohol and hazing notes.

Today the kids finished reading chapter 23 and summarized the last lesson of the chapter in their composition books. We then watched an enthralling video on the history of tobacco. ;)

Today the students and I began reading Chapter oops, I forgot. Well it was page 562? Well anyway, we began reading the Alcohol chapter. The students summarized both sections 1 and 2 that we covered, and depending on attendance we may have a video tomorrow. I'm working on the vocab, because I'm trying to change it up. Give me a minute. Should be done/in my head and on paper by tonight. Either way, it's still gonna be due on Friday.
Here are the vocab words... Intoxication, Adverse, Dependence, Renal, Psychosis, Convulsion, Blackout, Intervention, Compulsion, Tremor. You are to supply legitimate definitions for all 10, as well as put DEFINE each word in YOUR OWN words and then you are to illustrate(draw a picture) of 1 of the words of your choice. Takes some thought, but you can do it.

10-16- The students had a post test on the Tobacco information that they previously took a post test on at the beginning of the unit. Health Articles are due on Friday. They then took a pre-test on the alcohol unit we are about to begin. We went over the answers of the pre-test too. They were reminded to do the Video response assingment by Wednesday for credit.
10-17- The students are testing today, so for 3rd and 4th period, they will be having a Ben's Bells Town hall type conversation in the class rooms.

Health articles were assigned today. The students went over their summary notes to the class. Students were reminded to check the video and respond for points by wednesday.
