30 April 12

Today the students and I read Chapter 20 Lesson 1.  The health article was assigned for Friday. They also had a journal entry that asked: If you could trade places with anybody/thing for 48 hours. Who/what would you choose and why?  (You can't bankrupt a person....$1 million limit. :)

4/19-20

Yesterday the students had a test covering alcohol and drugs. On Friday they presented their health articles.

17-18 April 12

Yesterday the kids reviewed several song titles for their lyrics and the videos for their portrayal and usage of alcohol in their songs. They wrote a short synopsis for each selection and turned it in for credit.

Wednesday-Today I collected their journal and trivia entries for their 3 qtr grades. We went ove a chapter in the Immortal life of Henrietta Lacks.

16 April 12

Today the students watched a video on Hazing and binge drinking and they took notes for credit. Their health article is due on Friday (Thursday if you are going to be out for Prom). The points were added and new grades posted.

13 April 12

today the kids worked on Chapter 22 Chapter review RTF #'s 2,3,6,8,10 and 11. They were also given the opportunity to finish and turn in their vocab if they did not have it completed.

12 April 12

Today the students did a group exercise putting together a puzzle and then writing the answer on the board. They then participated in "pick a corner" activity. They also had a JOURNAL ENTRY: You and a friend went to a party where alcohol and drugs were being used. You find your friend in a back room unconcious, what do you do?

11 April 12

the students are assigned 5 vocab words which are due this Friday. They are to be defined and used in sentences as per usual. Today and yesterday in class we read chapter 22 (alcohol) pers. 1-2 were able to complete the chapter while 4-6 read only one section. We will finish on Friday.
